Fishinger and Kenny is dedicated to creating an atmosphere of growth, involvement, and discipleship for our adult members. At F&K our Adult Ministry serves individuals by sharing Christ with them, training and encouraging them in their Christian walk, and caring for them as members of the family of faith. Each person has the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities designed to both challenge and encourage their spiritual growth. Whether it's through our young adults, men's, women's, or golden agers programs we offer a place for people to get involved, build community and grow in Christ together.
Our adult library houses a diverse and comprehensive collection of books. Whether you are looking for resources on faith issues, or planning to teach a Sunday School lesson, or preparing a devotional message...or just looking for some inspirational reading...the library has something for you.
Young Adults Program:
Our Young Adults program consists of singles, married couples, and those with family. The Young Adults of F&K strive to spur one another on toward love and good deeds, and to encourage one another in faith and life. They meet for devotionals, Bible classes and studies, and serve our community through projects and ministries. Throughout the year they hold many fun and exciting events that strengthen current friendships and build new ones.
Building relationships with each other is what fellowship is really all about and a vital part of church life. Fellowship among families provide ways to foster deeper friendship and love. It's spending time together; living life in a community. Throughout the year, we work to create opportunities to grow in our church relationships by bringing people together and allowing people from all life stages to feel connected. Fellowship activities allow everyone, from young children to the elderly, to get to know each other better while strengthening the fellowship within the church.
The Golden Agers are a group of senior congregation members and guests, fifty-five years of age and older, who meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month, April through November. Our major focus is providing an opportunity for our older members to actively participate in impacting the growth of our church family through a variety of outreach activities. Birthdays for the month are recognized, and various programs are presented that are of interest to our senior members. Visitors and guest are welcome.
Throughout the year various programs are hosted by families in the church that plan and execute many different activitiesBelow is a list of the events that take place every year.
